Core Beliefs
The following are the core beliefs of NLT South Tampa based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.
One God
The Bible is the inspired Word of God. It gives a true history of the creation of the earth and of mankind. There is only one God: Due 6:4 the Creator of the heavens and the earth, and of all mankind. This one God is Father in creation, Son in redemption, and Holy Ghost in regeneration and activity. He is the First and the Last and beside Him there is no God. That one God was manifest in the flesh as Jesus Christ. 1 Tim 3:16
Salvation
Salvation consists of deliverance from sin through the blood of Jesus Christ. This is accomplished through repentance from sin, water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and receiving the baptism of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance. This is called the New Birth (John 3:5 and Acts 2:38); and continuing in the apostles’ doctrine with a holy and consistent life.

Jesus makes two bold and declarative statements. One found in Luke 19:10 “For the son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost”. Also in Matthew 16:15,And then he told them, "Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone." So then, our mandate is to reach the city of Tampa with bible salvation as was preached by the Apostles and the First Century Church.
Ressurection
Jesus Christ is returning one day to judge both the living and the dead and to usher in the fullness of God's kingdom on earth.
